Follow Friday #10

Follow My Book Blog Friday is a weekly meme co-hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Q: Jumping Genres: Ever pick up a book from a genre you usually don't like and LOVE it? Tell us about it and why you picked it up in the first place.

I usually steer clear from historicals.  I saw it in Wal-Mart a couple of times and never got it.  I eventually decided I wanted to read Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier mostly because I loved the cover.  Also, I love the idea of time-traveling in books.  I loved all the adventures the main character went on.

  2. Time travel is fun! And I think that the historical novels I've liked the most had some kind of time travel included.

I'm a new GFC follower :) Please stop by my FF #2 as well, and you'll find out what I picked.

    Have a great weekend!

  3. Time travel is cool, but I too rarely do the historical thing.
I think its all subconcious for me though, because I hated history lessons in school and I always feel like I have to get a history lesson in historical books. haha

  5. OOoh nice! I have had that one in my TBR pile for nearly a year now! Won it in a contest! Time traveling can be cool! Read an awesome one that had time travel and magic--book called Old Magic by Marianne Curley and it is sooooo good!, so I thought I would give this one a try as well! and plus I won it so it was free. Yay free!
